Welcome!

WELCOME!

I started this blog to help myself track my fashion evolution. I have gotten a lot of inspiration from other bloggers out there, and maybe someday I can do the same for someone else.

Safari

It's been quite a while since I last wore this dress.  I like it, but it requires a lot a ironing, which I don't get around to very often.  I added the cardigan and belt to give it some interest, but in hindsight all neutrals was not the way to go for interesting.  At least the belt tied in the warmer brown of the boots.

I wore this the day I went thrifting at lunch with my mom.  I found a few goodies which will show up here sooner or later.

Catch Up

I still have some outfit photos from several weeks ago that I am going to post so that I can get back to current stuff.  It's finally getting warmer and winter outfits are going to look a bit out of place soon.

As much as I hate losing an hour of sleep, I do like daylight savings.  More after work time for photos and walking the dogs. Honestly, I wish it was daylight savings all year long.  Now let's just hope I can get up in time for work tomorrow.

Day 28

Last day in February - only two more days to go!  Today was a good day at work - enough to keep me busy all day, but not stressful busy.  Hopefully it is a good sign for the rest of the week, because I just want to forget that last week ever happened.  I'm excited for tomorrow because it's haircut day!  I'm wondering if my awesome stylist can make my hair as cute as Emerald's.  What do you think?

Day 20

The weatherman lied.  3-4 inches of snow turned into 8-9 inches of snow.  It is really pretty, but also makes it hard to pose for pictures without falling on your face.

I wasn't sure about this color combo, so I decided to try it out on a Sunday when no one would really see me.  I ended up liking it a lot!  Especially after I happened to pull out a patterned scarf that had the exact same colors in it.  I will eventually get rid of all my color preconceptions and rules and learn to mix with the best of them.

Day 13

Today's outfit was a nice comfy weekend outfit.  Just jeans and a tee to keep it simple.  This is my favorite tee though.  It's from Threadless.  I could spend way too much money on silly shirts there for me and hubby.

We went up to hubby's sister's house for dinner tonight and stopped at a rest stop in the canyon to take pictures.  The fishermen may have thought we were crazy.

Day 2

I was really happy with today's outfit.  It was super fun, even if it was crazy to wear a skirt in -1 degree weather.  That's just how I roll!

Day 1

I feel military-ish on top, but not so much on bottom.  Maybe I should have gone with the black boots.  Overall, a nice easy start for the challenge.  Now to get the rest of my clothes washed so I have all 30 to choose from.  In other news, today was a bad hair day.  Good thing I had a hat to cover it up.

Stealing Hubby's Clothes

I've seen quite a few outfits pairing a big loose shirt with skinny jeans and I liked the look, but something didn't quite turn out for me.  I look very wide in the photo, though it didn't feel that way in person.  Hey, at least I was comfy.  I will have to play with the proportions a bit before I try again.

Wild at Work

I wasn't sure about the new coworkers reaction to my leopard print, but nobody said anything.  Guess that means I can still get crazier!  I wasn't sure about the navy tights, but they worked better than anything else in my drawer so I went with it.

I got these boots from my MIL for Christmas.  I love them!  They are just what my wardrobe needed, plus comfy to wear.  The only thing I don't like is that the buckles on bottom are loose, so they clink every time I walk.  It almost sounds like I am wearing spurs.  I will have to brainstorm a solution to that.  The earrings are also new from MIL for Christmas: long dangly black feathers. Fun!

Tights

This is actually the first time I had worn tights since I was a little girl.  They always looked cute on other people though, so I thought I would give it a shot.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them if I didn't know if I would wear them or not.  I found some at Saver's (new) when they had their Halloween costumes out for $2.50 a pair, and bought a few colors to try out.  My hubby still isn't too sure about them.  I will get to the crazier colors a little bit later, but stuck with gray for my first try.

Classy Country

This dress is much to short for work if worn as a dress.  As a skirt, it is just perfect!

Quick Pick

I purchased this dress on a recent trip to Denver because all I had left to wear were pants and an unbreathing shirt and I was roasting hot.  I just ran into Target, found the first thing I saw that looked like it would work, bought it, and ran out.  I have been so happy that it was this dress I grabbed.  I love it!  The floral pattern just adds something that my closet was missing before.  The top is a bit skimpy so I usually cover up a bit when I wear it.
