Bright Patterns

This idea didn't execute as well in real life as it did in my head, but I gave it the good old try.  I think both patterns may have been a bit too bold to throw together.  I learn something new every day!

Not Floral Enough

I actually wore this on EBEW's floral day.  The scarf has a bit of floral on it, but not enough that I thought I should put it up.  I kinda forgot to plan for it - one of these days I will actually participate!

Let the Light In

I really loved the week of sunshine we got.  I wore this on Cinco de Mayo (yes, I am a bit behind in posting) and the bright happy colors were perfect. And yes, I am going to wear my nude heels to death.  I can't help that they look good with everything.

Feeling Frumpy

Most of this outfit's components are a bit over-sized, so I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise that I ended up feeling a bit frumpy in it.  I liked the green/purple/yellow color combo, but I will have to find a way to make it work in some other outfit.

Trying to Bring Spring

New Patterned Tights

These are some of the tights I got at a local discount store.  They had several very fun colors and patterns, each for only $4.  They are the same brand (I forget the name) that the tights I bought from Savers were, so I knew they fit.  And even though they are lower quality, they will work for me for now.

The color in this picture is awful, but it was a bad time to be taking photos and this is the best I could do.  The tights are much more purple than they appear in this shot, and the shirt is a very bright lemon yellow.

Something Different

I tried something new (for me anyway) with this outfit - a cardi over a mock turtleneck.  I actually like the proportions, but the black pattern in the shirt seems jarring with the rest of the outfit.

Day 3

Every time I wear these tights I feel a bit like Big Bird, but I do like the yellow with the red.  I don't know if it's weird to belt a denim jacket, but I did it.  Without the belt it was just to shapeless and bulky for the outfit.

In other news, I am already regretting picking such boring footwear for this challenge.  Next time I will definitely remember to spice things up a bit.
